COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

Counseling sometimes involves exploring areas which are often painful and frightening, but are necessary to the healing process. Without a trusting relationship between the client and counselor, areas may go undiscovered and healing and recovery can be limited

Confidentiality at Barden Behavioral Health includes taking every reasonable effort to protect your privacy with the only exceptions being those required by law as outlined in our Informed Consent and Client Agreement

Our scheduling, filing and communication policies and electronic systems are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We will not discuss your case, transfer records, or acknowledge you being a client to anyone without your prior written consent. We consider your trust as a privilege without compromise; so if at any time you have concerns regarding confidentiality and your privacy, please bring them to our immediate attention.

FEE SCHEDULE & APPOINTMENTS

A recent study revealed insurance documentation is viewed by 12 to 15 people during the claims process. Therefore, in order to maintain our aforementioned commitment to confidentiality and the counseling process, only Melanie Peters, LPC maintains a relationship with any insurance carriers at this time; however, in some instances, our counselors can provide documentation for reimbursement

Please speak to your counselor for more information and fee schedules
